HOW DOES IT FEEL TO KNOW THAT YOU ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE THE PERSON YOU REALLY ARE? by coach Silvia

Have you ever heard of "Power Poses"? It might sound silly, but trust me, it works!

By simply changing our posture for just 2 minutes a day, we can make a big difference in the way we see and feel about ourselves.


Our body image is a crucial part of our self-image, and it's not just about what we look like or how others see us. It also includes how we think, feel, and react to our own perception of our physical attributes. So, by practicing "Power Poses" like the ones below, we can activate the behavioural approach system, increase our feelings of strength, and decrease our feelings of fear.


But that's not all! Power Poses also expand our body space, increase testosterone (the dominance hormone), and decrease cortisol (the stress hormone). Too much cortisol can interfere with learning and memory, increase the risk of depression, and cause other mental health problems. Testosterone, on the other hand, is the hormone linked to assertiveness and confidence.


So, don't be afraid to strike a pose! It only takes 2 minutes a day to feel more confident, assertive, and less stressed. Give it a try and let us know how it works for you!
